The huge marketing push by Beachbody – the people behind Shaun T’s Insanity workout – looks as though it is directed towards men even tough women feature highly in images and infomercials.
My experience as an Insanity Live instructor has proven otherwise: women make up the vast majority of participants in classes.
Insanity Live is designed for everyone – both men and women .
But could it be that women who attend Insanity Live classes know these top five secrets of attending regular group Insanity Live classes?
1. It’s more fun than going to gym
Gyms have their place in the fitness world but they are not for everyone. Group fitness and exercises classes are simply more social and you are more likely to meet people who are at a similar fitness level as you than in a gym – no need to feel awkward when others are at a similar fitness level as you.
2. Your only competition is you
One of the great thing about the Insanity Live group fitness programs is that they are designed for beginners and advanced trainers so you will benefit from being able to continually improve your athletic performance no matter what your fitness level may be. By pushing yourself to do ‘one more push up with good form than last week’ you take ownership of your fitness improvements with me and others in the group encouraging along the way.
3. You get a whole body workout
The Insanity Live program just like the DVD’s targets your entire body head-to-toe giving you a complete all-round workout with absolutely no weights. This means that the moves you learn in an Insanity Live class can be done at home between classes making them ideal for when you are pushed for time or when you simply want to improve your athletic ability in your own time.
4. You will surprise yourself just how hard you can push yourself
Most people who have never attended an Insanity group training session think it will be brutal or that they will not be able to ‘keep up’ – even the name ‘Insanity’ can seem intimidating. But I’ve had people attend classes buzzing at the end not only because they ‘got through’ the workout but because they did not believe they could do it in the first place – the sense of achievement can be electrifying.
5. You will become more confident, feel sexier and worry less about your self image
Attendance to Insanity classes on a regular basis WILL increase your athletic endurance there’s no doubt about it. Your body shape will change for the better as will your mindset and you’ll worry less about what others think and worry more about pushing yourself to complete exercises to a higher intensity. Not bad for a group training session.
Whichever way you slice it regular attendance to Insanity Live classes and a sensible eating regime will result in positive changes to your mind and body.
