My favourite type.
Trouble is it can be fatty if you use standard minced beef for your recipe which can have as much as 30% fat.
Extra lean beef mince can have as low as a 5% fat content which is epic if you are watching what you eat.
What I like about this particular recipe is the minimal list of ingredients and speed of preparation.
That makes them perfect for bulk cooking if you batch make the burgers and freeze them instead of cooking them.
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- Salt, pepper, spices (optional)
How To Make East Homemade Burgers
Preheat your grill on a medium heat.
Place the sliced red onion in a bowl and mix with the mince, crushed garlic and spices.
Divide the mixture into four and shape into burgers.
Grill the burgers for 15 minutes, turning the burgers occasionally to ensure they are fully cooked through.
Serve a burger with a side of vegetables to get a great balanced meal you can make in quick time and nourish your body for an active lifestyle.
