I’m an avid user of Huel vegetarian protein and have been since January 2018.
There are very few products I endorse and Huel is one of them because of it’s nutritional value, cost-effectiveness and convenience.
For the pancake recipe you can make your own oat flour if you have a blender with a pulse setting on it or it has a high rpm blend setting.
Making your own saves time and waste from unused flour.
Simply add your oats to the blender and pulse for one minute.
Check to make sure the mixture has been thoroughly blended by giving it a stir and blend again if required.
- 200g oat flour
- 2 scoops (60g) Huel
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1¾ cups milk
- ½ a banana
- 1 tsp coconut oil
How To Make Homemade Protein Pancakes
Place all the ingredients (except for the oil) into a blender and blend into a nice smooth batter then let it stand for 5 minutes to thicken.
Prepare a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat with the coconut oil.
Use ¼ cup portions for 15 small pancakes or ½ cup portions for 7 large pancakes.
Simply ladle the batter into the pan to the desired pancake size.
Once golden underneath, flip the pancake over and cook for a further minute or until golden and cooked through.
Here are some topping you could try: fresh fruit, zero fat Greek yogurt, a drizzle of honey, peanut butter.
