I am eating much more vegetables lately than ever before.
Can’t put my finger on why this is happening but I’m not complaining.
Vegetables that are high in protein are the ones that make it onto my plate first and I’ve recently upped my fitness game and noticed early results on this current veggie phase I’m going through.
I’m sharing what’s in my fridge today so that you can get a sneak peak of what a bootcamp instructor and nutrition coach’s fridge looks like.
Bear in mind that we are a family of four at FSYHQ and the photo was taken after a recent trip to the local supermarket.
And the chiller section:
Basically what you get is a mish-mash of different fruit and vegetables ready to be chopped, roasted or baked.
What’s not clear from the picture is the three 500g tubs of low fat and zero fat natural yogurt and real butter made from the milk of cows that feed on grass.
But perhaps the most important aspect of what’s in my fridge is the absence of processed high fat and high sugar ready type meals and snacks.
Having fresh fruit and veg has forced me to learn how to cook quickly in bulk (usually in a Dutch Oven) and freezing it to prevent spoilage and waste.
This has been tough whilst running a business but when has anything worth while been easy.
If you’re on a transformation journey or would like to know how to start eating for weight loss and muscle toning start by trying to mimic what your fridge looks like in the images above – lots of fruit and veg.
Then try out a few different easy cook recipes – you’ll notice how much tastier your food is knowing that it’s doing your body the good it deserves.
